Anyone with a history book and a search engine can uncover the legal and historical basis of income taxes in the USA. Still, it is a completely voluntary system, if you wish not to pay, you simply stop making income. Alternatively, you can renounce your citizenship and/or move outside U.S. jurisdiction, this process has separate costs. Liberty is never free.
