MERIT = the content of one's character and the quality of one's mind, multiplied by hard work and persistence or grit. These 'libertarians' reversed the Objectivist Ethic (i.e., that money is the reward for merit) and they believe that MONEY = MERIT. They literally believe that having money is an indicator of a person's merit (even if inherited, stolen, or married into). They believe this because they also have an underlying belief in the false premise of genetic superiority. They are not smart enough to have figured out that genetics in modern humans are randomized by sexual reproduction, and dependent upon a given environment (physical, social, etc.) where various genetic strengths and weaknesses may arise with each population and generation. They have no idea about the emergent nature of RNA adaptations, or the fact that all living humans fall within a factor of two on every possible scale of genetic ability. They believe that, because they have access to money, they are necessarily smart, yet most of them lack any emotional intelligence, empathy, or even political understanding. They think of human interactions in transactional terms, without the kind of compassion or ethical understandings that these women are discussing. These are two different world views, different languages.
